1 cup baking molasses
2 lb. brown sugar
2 cups shortening
4 eggs
2 cups sour milk
w tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 lb. candied fruit
1 lb. chopped dates
1 lb. raisins
1 lb. English walnuts
10 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix thoroughly and add flour, enough to roll and cut. Cookies can be dropped onto a cookie sheet if desired. Makes 200 cookies and will keep indefinitely. Bake @ 325º for
about 15 minutes.

* For small fancy cookies, frost with powdered sugar butter frosting and decorate with tiny pieces of orange peel, chopped or whole nuts, coconut or candied cherries.
