Mix: 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup butter, 1 TBSP water, 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 tsp almond extract till crumbly and press on jelly roll pan in 2 ovals.

Bring to a boil: 1 cup water, 1/2 cup butter. Turn off the burners

Add to water and butter: 1 cup flour, 1/2 tsp almond extract, and 3 eggs all at once and beat until smooth.

Spread over each crust in the jelly roll pan and bake 375 degrees 47 minutes or until golden brown.

Frosting: 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 TBSP cream or milk, 1 TBSP soft butter, and 1 tsp almond extract, spread on warm cooked Kringler.

This recipe I have made into a holiday tradition in my family and serve it the holiday morning for breakfast with fruit salad. You can get creative and add fruit to the Kringler to decorate, as I did for 4th of July in picture.
