16 oz. Elbow macaroni (or any shape pasta)
½ c. butter
6 tbsp. flour
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. pepper
2 ¾ c. milk
3 c. sharp cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350º
- Cook pasta in salty water until salt - drain and rinse in hot water and set aside.
- In medium sauce pan over medium heat, melt butter and add flour salt & pepper, stirring constantly.
- When mixture thickens, slowly stir in milk, continue to stir constantly until sauce thickens.
- Reduce head to low and add cheese - stir until completely melted.
- Remove from heat and mix with pasta.
- Place in 9"X13" pan and sprinkle additional cheese on top
- Bake for 30 minutes or until the cheese on top is bubbly

** If you make this ahead of time and refrigerate overnight, you may need to start cooking at 400º til it starts to bubble and then reduce the heat to 350º.
