3 Cups Flour
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Unsalted Butter
3 tsp of Rose Water
1/4 Cup Water

Date Filling:
8oz. Pitted Dates
2 tbsp. Butter

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl add sugar and flour, Cut butter into pieces and rub into flour with fingers.
Add Rose Water and water into flour mixture. Mix to a firm dough and kneed lighlty until smooth. Let dough rest for 30 minutes. ( I will leave the dough while I get the dates ready and then make the cookies.)
Chop dates and place in pan with butter. Heat on low-2 just to soften dates, stir often. Remove from heat or keep on low. Roll dough into a ball and then flatten. Add a small amount of dates to dough and roll into a ball again.
Press ball into mold. Place on cookie sheet and bake 30-35 minutes at 325 degrees.
