1 cup of butter (2 sticks), softened
¼ cup powdered sugar
2 cups flour
½ cup ground almonds
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
In mixer, cream butter and sugar till fluffy. Add remaining ingredients. Chill overnight or for at least 4 hours.

Roll 1 tsp. of dough into a ball. (It will be very hard). Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 15 - 20 minutes at 350 º. Cool on cookie sheet for 5-10 minutes, then shake gently in bag of powdered sugar, a few cookies at a time. (Cookies should be warm enough for sugar to stick, firm enough not to break up.)
