2 cup sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
½ cup water
12 oz. raw peanuts
½ tsp. sioa
1 tsp, vanilla
1 T. butter
⅛ tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Be sure to have a candy thermometer handy before you begin.

Combine sugar, syrup and water in large cast iron skillet.
Place over medium heat and stir until sugar dissolves.
Cover and cook for 3 minutes.
Remove cover and cook to soft ball stage (234 degrees).
Add peanuts. Stirring frequently, cook until brittle reaches hard crack stage (300 degrees). Remove from heat.
Add remaining ingredients. Stir until well blended.
Spread on a well-buttered cookie sheet. As candy cools, loosen edges of brittle so that it can be lifted up and pulled so that it's stretched as thin as possible. Break or cut off thin portion.
Repeat process until all of candy as been pulled or stretched.
Break into irregular pieces after it cools.
