2 eggs
1/4 t salt
2/3 cup orange juice
3/4 cup fine dry breadcrumbs (Panko brand)
1 t grated orange peel
8 slices white bread

butter/oil for griddle

plain white bread

1 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup orange juice
1 t grated orange peel

Directions:
Directions:
Beat well together the eggs, salt, and 2/3 cup orange juice. Combine in another bowl: bread crumbs and grated orange peel

Dip bread slices in orange-egg mixture, then in crumb-peel mixture, turning slices to coat evenly.

Brown on both sides in butter/oil on hot griddle. Meanwhile, make syrup by combining maple syrup, 1/4 cup orange juice and 1 t grated orange peel.

Serve French Toast with hot syrup and butter.
