½ cup crisco
1½ cups sugar
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
½ cup cocoa melted in hot water
1 tsp baking soda
2 cups flour
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
1) Cream shortening, add sugar and eggs and beat thoroughly
2) Add cocoa mixture, then milk and mix together
3) Add flour, baking soda and salt and beat well
4) Add vanilla and mix again
5) Pour into 9x13 greased coking pan
6) Bake at 325º for 40-50 minutes
