1 1/2 cups Shortening (part butter)
2 cups Sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
5 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Melt shortening and butter, add to bowl with sugar, eggs and vanilla, then add flour gradually along with baking powder and salt, once combined , chill at least 1 hour in refrigerator. Roll out on floured counter not to thin unless you like crisp cookies (Whit)
cut with cookie cutter

Bake @ 350º 6-8 minutes or until lightly brown on bottom

after cookies cool down decorate
