2 egg whites
¼ tsp cream of tartar
½ c sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites until stiff while slowly adding cream of tartar and sugar while beating.

Drop by teaspoon full on wax paper covered or buttered baking sheet.

Sprinkle with sugar, if desired.

Bake in open oven at lowest possible setting (175º F) for several hours or over night.

Serve with ice cream and/or whipped cream between two meringue shells
