1 (2 pound) package frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
½ cup melted butter
½ cup chopped onion
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Topping:
1 cup crushed cornflakes
½ cup melted butter

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350º F (175º C).

2. Mix hash browns, cream of chicken soup, Cheddar cheese, sour cream, butter, onion, salt, and pepper together in a bowl. Arrange in a 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle on top. Drizzle butter over the cornflakes.

3. Bake in the preheated oven until the sauce is bubbly and the top is golden brown, 1 to 1 ½ hours.
