1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
3 c. flour
1 jar Jam - any flavor (Giardello family loves Apricot)

Directions:
Directions:
In large mixing bowl cream together butter, Crisco and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
Beat till smooth. In a smaller bowl blend four, salt, and baking powder. Blend dry ingredients into butter mixture. Roll dough into 1 - 2 inch balls. Make a dent in each ball with your thumb. Fill dent with jam - putting the jam in a plastic baggie, cut off a corner and pipe the jam into the dents for less mess. Bake at 350º for 10 - 12 minutes Watch to not burn bottoms.
