1 cup soft butter
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup each red and green candied cherries
1 cup sliced almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla. Stir in flour and mix well. Add cherries and nuts. Shape into four rolls about 6x1 1/2 inches. Wrap well in heavy plastic wrap and seal in freezer bags until needed. Take from freezer 30 minutes before baking. Cut into 1/4 inch slices. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 375ºF 10 minutes or until golden.
