Notes: THE REAL HERSHEY'S OF HERSHEY, PA.....
During his post-college days, Ben lived in Hershey, Pennsylvania, so close to the factory that he could smell chocolate all the time!
....It has not dampened his love for chocolate whatsoever.

THE MYSTERIOUS MRS. FIELDS…
So, who is the "Mrs. Fields" in this recipe title?
“I'm not sure. Connie attributed this recipe to a 'Mrs. Fields', and I do not think she meant the famous cookie company, although it's possible. Connie had an aptitude for collecting the best recipes that had simple steps to follow. She had an eclectic recipe box of treasured, handwritten recipes she'd both gathered & shared with friends, family, and neighbors. She was a beloved friend to have, giving of herself with a generous spirit rarely seen in this world."
--Starr
In honor of the original title to this recipe, these cookies will go down in this cookbook as a tribute to Mrs. Fields, whoever she may be!
P.S. The count of "112 cookies" seemed oddly specific to me, but in trying to get a feel for its accuracy, I googled recipes with somewhat similar ingredients. I think it's very accurate, actually! Whoever Mrs. Fields is, I think she had baking these cookies down to a science!
