1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. flour
2 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
Vanilla
Chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugar and shortening and add in eggs one at a time; mix well. Add in vanilla. In a separate bowl, add nuts to flour and coat well. Stir oatmeal, baking powder and baking soda into dry mixture. Combine wet and dry mixture, if batter is too wet add a little extra flour. Drop on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 350ºF for 10 minutes.
