2 sticks butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 pt. sour cream
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla (or rum)
1 c. nuts (walnuts or pecans)
1 c. chopped maraschino cherries, drained well
1 c. white raisins
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs. Cream in sour cream.

Add baking soda, baking powder and salt to flour. Fold into egg mixture.

Fold into batter, nuts, cherries, and white raisins.

Bake 350 degrees for 1 hr. 5 min.

Gram only made this cake at Christmas and everyone looked forward to it. She also made the pistachio cake for Christmas, but she would make that at other times throughout the year.
