½ cup water
⅓ cup shortening
3 tbsp sugar
salt to taste
1 package yeast dissolved in ½ cup water
2 eggs, beaten
3 cups sifted flour
½ warm milk

Orange Filling
1 cup powdered sugar1 tbsp butter
3 tbsp orange rind

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first three ingredients-bring to a boil and pour into a large mixing bowl. Cool.
Add salt, dissolved yeast, eggs, flour, and milk to above mixture. Mix well! Let stand 2 hours. Roll out to ½ inches thick. Spread with orange filling. Foll as a jelly roll. Seal long edge. Cut into ½ slices. Place in well-greased muffin tins. Let rise 1 hour. Bake at 400 º for 15-20 minutes.
You can make a milk or water plus powdered sugar glaze with some Orange rind added to give these rolls more orange flavor.
