Ingredients: 2 packages yeast 1 ¼ cup canned milk 1 cup hot water 8 tbsp margarine ⅓ cup sugar 1 tsp salt 2 eggs 6 cups sifted flour

Directions: |
Directions:Dissolve yeast according to package instructions. Add sugar to beaten eggs; add salt, milk and hot water. beat. Add yeast. Gradually add flour. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead. Add flour to handle. Roll out to ½ " thick rectangle. Spread margarine over dough.
Fold dough over top , covering all dough. Roll out again to former rectangular size. Spread dough with margarine. Repeat [process until dough has been spread 5 times. Roll out to 1/2 " rectangle of original size. Use a circular biscuit cutter and cut rolls. Place in greased muffin tins. Allos to rise for 3 hours. Bake a 400º for 10 minutes.

Notes: this recipe is so much work but so good. When I was younger I used to make these rolls a lot. I have since discovered Naborhood bakery frozen butter flake rolls. And, since that time, I haven't touched this recipe! How easy is it to raise the frozen rolls and bake! And, they are good! I can buy the frozen rolls at Harmons. I wanted to at least include this out of appreciation for how much work my mother and grandmother went to to make only one part of a delicious meal!
