Ingredients:  
Cream together:
1 c sugar
1 egg
1/4 c sweet milk
1/2 pound butter or 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup lard
1 tsp vanilla

Sift together:
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
3 1/2 c flour or enough to make a soft ball
Add to mix

Chill overnight. Roll out on floured board and cutout shapes.
Bake on greased cookie sheet 350° for 10 minutes.
