2 1/3 c. all purpose flour

1/2 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 c. unsalted butter, softened

1/3 c. vegetable oil

1 1/2 c. sugar

1 large egg

3 tsp, vanilla extract

1 tsp. maple extract

2 c. powdered sugar

2 tbsp. water

sprinkles

Directions:
1) Preheat oven 350º

2) in medium bowl whisk flour, baking soda and salt together, set aside

3) in Large bowl, beat butter, oil and sugar until well combined. Mix in egg, 2 tsp. vanilla extract and 1/2 tsp. maple extract.

4) Add in flour mixture 1 c. at a time, mixing until well combined.

5) Roll into 2 tsp. balls and place on baking sheet. leave room for spreading. slightly flatten balls with cup.

6) bake 8-10 minutes, just until edges are set, remove from oven and allow to cool on baking sheet about 10-15 minutes, remove and cool remaining on cooling rack.

7) for icing: In small bowl whisk powdered sugar, water, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1/2 tsp. maple until smooth

8) using spoon smooth small amount of icing on top (can be over powering it you use too much) sprinkle with sprinkles. let set about 10 minutes

9) serve immediately or store in airtight container for up to 5 days
