Grammy’s Gumdrop Cookies Recipe

3/4c shortening
1c sugar
1 egg
2c flour
1t baking powder
1/2t salt
1/4 c milk
1/2 vanilla
1 bag gumdrops
Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400F.

2. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir well. Combine 1/2c flour mixture to the gumdrops and toss to coat. Set aside.

3. Cream the shortening and add in the sugar. Add in the egg. Beat well.

4. Add remaining four mixture to the creamed mixture, alternatively with milk. Begin and end with the flour. Mix after each addition. Stir in vanilla.

5. Drop the dough buy the tablespoon 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets. Bake for 15-17 minutes, or until lightly browned.
