1 ½ cups butter, softened (3 sticks)
¾ cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp. salt
3 cups flower
2 cups (12 oz package) mini chocolate chips
½ cup finely chopped nits
Powdered sugar for sprinkling over cookies

Directions:

Preheat oven 375º
Beat butter, sugar, vanilla and salt until creamy.
Gradually beat in flour.
Stir in chips and nuts.
Shape level teaspoon into 1 ¼ inch balls.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until light brown.
Remove from oven.
Leave cookies on baking sheet and immediately, sift powdered sugar over hot cookies.
Remove from baking sheet and cool.
Store in airtight container.

Instead of sifting the powdered sugar onto the cookies, you can put the powdered sugar in a oblong container. Remove hot cookies from pan and place immediately into powered sugar. Roll cookies around powdered sugar until coated. Remove and cool.

These are "melt in your mouth" cookies. If you choose to put the hot cookies into a dish of powdered sugar, be prepared to "burn" your fingers.
