1 cup shortening
¾ cup of sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. baking powder
Dash of salt
2¼ cups of flour
Green food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Cream the shortening and sugar together. Add the egg and almond extract mixing until combined.

Add the dry ingredients. Add a few drops of green food coloring until the desired shade of green is achieved.

Press the dough – follow manufacturer’s directions to fit your cookie press with a Christmas tree disk. Scrape some of the dough into your cookie press.

Press out the cookies 2" apart.

Bake for 10 minutes.

This cookie is one that is a tradition in Samantha's family for Christmas and she continues the tradition baking it with Arianna and Bianca.
