½ cup shortening
¾ cup peanut butter
⅓ cup white sugar
⅓ cup brown sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
1½ cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 bag chocolate stars/kisses

Directions:
Heat oven to 375º

Beat shortening and peanut butter until blended. Add sugars and beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk, and vanilla and beat well. Gradually add flour, soda, and salt.

Shape dough into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar.

Bake 8-10 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Immediately press star into the cookie and press down. Cool completely on wire rack.
