6 medium apples (chopped)
1 cup raisin
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
3 tbsp. unsalted butter
3 tsp. fresh lemon juice
2 tsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 tsp. nutmeg
1/3 tsp. ginger (ground)


Dough
4 cups of all purpose flour
1 1/2 stick butter
1 1/2 cup of sugar
1 cup milk
2 eggs
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract

Directions:

Filling
1. Mix all ingredients and cook on low heat until it thickens.
2. Make sure the apples are not mushy.
3. Place in the refrigerator and let cool.

Dough
1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
2. In a mixing bowl, mix butter and sugar until it becomes light and fluffy.
3. Add eggs, baking powder, salt, and vanilla.
4. Add flour and milk alternating until dough is made.
5. Place in the refrigerator for a few minutes.
6. Get a rolling pen and cookie cutter to shape dough like a biscuit.
7. Place mixture on the bottom circle. Then add another piece of dough on top.
8. With a fork, press around the edge to seal the dough.
9. Bake for 20 minutes.
