½ cup butter (1 stick, 4oz) room temp
½ cup white granulated sugar
½ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup peanut butter
1 egg
1 ¼ Cup all purpose flour
¾ tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
1. Beat the butter until creamy, add brown and white sugar mix for 2 minutes,
add peanut butter and eggs till combined.

2. Whisk dry ingredients together in one bowl: flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.

3. Slowly stir sugar mixture with dry ingredients till combined.

4.Chill the dough: Wrap dough in plastic and refrigerate at least 3 hours.

5.Preheat oven to 375ºF

6. Shape into balls, flatten with a fork: shape the dough into 1¼ inch balls. place the ball of dough about 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. flatten in crisscross pattern with fork.

7. Bake at 375ºF until light brown. (10 min)
remove the cookies from the oven and let cool on their baking sheet for 1 minute then transfer the cookies to a rack till completely cool.

(For chewier cookies bake at 300ºF for 15 minutes.)
