Dry Ingredients:
1 1/4 c. unbleached, all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 pinch of salt, to taste

Wet Ingredients:
1 egg (scrambled, room temperature)
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Base:
8 tbsp. (1 stick) salted butter (room temperature)
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. cane sugar

Chocolate:
2 c. chopped, chunked, or baking chocolate
** I use one bar of milk chocolate with toffee bits and one bar of dark chocolate with almond bits, chopped

1. Combine dry and wet ingredients in two separate bowls.
2. In a mixing bowl, mix base ingredients at low speed until smooth.
3. Add wet ingredients at low speed until well combined.
4. Slowly add dry ingredients at low speed until well combined and thick. Add more flour if too wet.
5. Mix in chocolate with a spatula. Be careful not to over mix.
6. Refrigerate dough for at least an hour.
7. Bake at 350º F for 10 minutes.
