COOKIES:

1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup canned pumpkin

1 large egg

2 ¼ cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt

1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped walnuts

FROSTING:

3 teaspoons butter
4 teaspoons milk
½ cup brown sugar

1 cup powdered sugar
¾ teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
COOKIES:
Cream the butter, sugar and pumpkin.
Add the egg and mix well.
Add the sifted dry ingredients, raisins and walnuts; mix well.
Drop by the spoonful onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

FROSTING:
Over low heat; cook the butter, milk and brown sugar; stirring until the sugar is dissolved; cool.
Add the powdered sugar and vanilla.
Spread on warm cookies.
