1 Cup shortening (Oil)
2 Cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 ¼ Cup Unsifted Flour
1 Cup Buttermilk
½ Cup Cocoa
2 tsp Soda
1 Cup hot water

Directions:
Directions:
In large mixing bowl cream shortening, sugar, salt, vanilla. Add eggs and beat with mixer till mixture is very light and creamy. Add flour and buttermilk and beat 2 more minutes. In small mixing bowl mix cocoa, soda, and hot water. Add to rest of batter. Put into three 8" round pans or one 9x12x2 loaf pan. Bake at 350º for about 40 minutes will be a little runny.
 

Creamy Chocolate Frosting

2 ½ sifted Confectioners sugar
1 egg unbeated
2 Tbs Water
¼ tsp salt
½ cup oleo
¼ cup cocoa

Directions:
Directions:
Combine confectioners sugar and egg in mixing bowl. Combine water, granulated sugar, and salt in saucepan. Stir over medium heat until sugar is disoved. Boil for 1 minute. Add slowly to the egg mixture, beating constantly. Add oleo, vanilla and cocoa and beat until creamy. Spread on cake.
