2 c. Sifted flour
1 tsp. Baking soda
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Baking powder
1 1/4 c. Shortening
1 c. Sugar
1 c. Brown sugar firmly packed
2 eggs well beaten
1 tsp vanilla
2 c. Flaked or shredded coconut
2 c. corn flakes

Directions:

Sift together flour, soda, salt and baking powder. Cream shortening, gradually add sugars, beat until light. Add eggs and vanilla.
Combine dry ingredients and creamed mixture; add coconut and corn flakes.
Drop small teaspoonfuls 1 1/2 inches apart onto greased baking sheet.
Bake at 350, 8 to 10 minutes or until delicately browned. Spread on racks to cool.
