Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 piece of loaf bread
Butter
1 egg
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Put a pat of butter in a small skillet on medium high heat. Grandma always used a small cast iron frying pan that was just slightly larger than the piece of bread.
Once the butter is melted, put your bread in. While the bread is cooking, scramble the egg in a bowl and set aside.
Once the bread is golden brown, take it out of pan, and put another pat of butter in pan, cook the other side of bread. While it is cooking, pour the scrambled egg on top. Tilt the pan if needed to make sure the egg is on all sides of the bread. Salt and pepper, if desired.
Once the egg is done, flip it one last time to cook the egg on top of the bread. Should only take a few seconds.
Grandma always served this with homemade black raspberry jelly from Tennessee or our own strawberry jam that we made. And of course, Tang to drink.
