Ingredients:
2 cups butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
6 cups old fashioned oats
3 cups chocolate chips

Directions:
Cream butter, add both sugars slowly. Add eggs one at a time and vanilla, mixing well. Sift flour, salt and soda together. Add to mixture a little at a time. At this point, mixture will become too stiff for electric mixer. Add chocolate chips by hand. Add oats last, using your hands to mix as it's too stiff for even spoons by now. Mix well. Take a tablespoon of dough, roll into a ball. Flatten and place on greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350º for 12 minutes. Cool a few minutes on the cookie sheet. Remove to rack and cool thoroughly before storing.

Next time, try using in addition 2 tsp cinnamon.
