2 cups flour
⅛ teaspoon salt
1 cup butter
⅔ cup sour cream
1 large egg yolk
½ teaspoon vanilla

Filling:
⅔ cup finely chopped nuts
⅔ cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 large egg white

1 egg, slightly beaten, for brushing cookies

Directions:

Mix flour and salt in bowl. Cut in butter with fingers or pastry blender. Blend sour cream, egg yolk, and vanilla. Gradually add to flour mixture and mix well. Chill until firm enough to handle. Divide dough into 3 parts. On floured board or surface, roll each part into a circle about ⅛ inch thick.

Beat egg white until it begons to form peaks. Blend in sugar. Combine nuts and cinnamon and fold in egg whites.

Divide nut filing among 3 dough sheets and spread over. Cut each circle into 12 wedges. Roll from widest to smallest point. Brush crescents with beaten egg. Bake on parchment paper lined baking sheets about 20 minutes in 375º oven. Sprinkle with powdered sugar when cool.
