1 cup margarine or better
¾ cup sugar
1 cup flour
2½ cups quick oats
pinch salt
½ tsp baking soda
2 T hot water
1 T golden syrup or honey
2 heaping tsps ground ginger
Opt: ½ cup cut up crystalized ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Oven 350º
1. Cream marg and sugar. Add flour, oats and salt. In small bowl, mix hot water and soda and syrup. Stir into mixture along with the ground ginger and crystalized ginger.
2. Roll into small balls and flatten with a fork so they are quite flat. Bake 15-2- minutes.
