1½ c sifted all purpose flour
½ c granulated sugar
½ tsp soda
¼ tsp salt
½ c shortening
½ c creamy peanut butter
¼ c light corn syrup
1 T milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in shortening and peanut butter until mixture resembles course meal. Blend in syrup and milk. Shape into 2 inch roll, chill.

Slice ⅛ inch to ¼ inch thick. Place half the slices on ungreased cookie sheet, spread each with ½ teaspoon peanut butter. Cover with remaining slices; seal edges with fork.

Bake at 350º for about 12 minutes. Cool slightly; remove from sheet. Makes 2 dozen.
