Notes: My grandma Muir used to make this salad and let it sit in her cupboard for 24 hours before we ate it! We ate grandma's potato salad at every family barbecue, and to my knowledge, no one ever got sick from lack of refrigeration. Even so, when I make it we keep it refrigerated so it doesn't spoil.
