For the cake:

sugar
flour
salt
stick oleo or margarine
water
buttermilk
cocoa
Crisco
butter
baking soda
vanilla
eggs
milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat over to 350º.

Mix in a bowl:
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp salt

In a saucepan mix:
1 stick oleo or margarine
1 c. water
1 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. Crisco
Bring to a rapid boil , then pour over (sugar, flour, and salt) mixture and beat thoroughly
while still hot.

Then add:
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp baking soda
1 tbsp. vanila
2 beaten eggs

Mix thoroughly and then put into a greased flat pan.

Bake 30 minutes. Be ready to pour the icing over the cake immediately after removing from the oven.

Icing
1 stick Oleo or Margarine
6 tbsp milk
4 tbsp cocoa
1 tbsp vanilla

Bring to a boil and add:
1 box powdered sugar beat until mixed thoroughly and then pour over the cake as soon as it is removed from the oven.
