1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. chocolate syrup
2 eggs, unbeaten
3/4 c. sifted flour
1/4 t. baking powder
1 c. chopped nuts
1 t. vanilla
Frosting:
4 T. melted butter
1 c. powdered sugar
2 T. chocolate syrup
1 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Melt oleo in sauce pan, add sugar, chocolate syrup, and mix thoroughly. Cool slightly, the stir in eggs one at a time. Sift together flour and baking powder. Add flour, nuts, and vanilla to chocolate mixture. Mix well. Pour into 8X8 inch pan that has been lightly greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Cover with frosting while cake is warm.
