Personal Notes:
Magic cookies are the first cookie I make each year. I usually double the recipe because it seems to be most people's favorite cookie.
This recipe was given to me by my Aunt Loretta who first introduced me to baking. She would come to visit me in Clearwater, Florida from New York with a suitcase filled with cookies. I asked her how she was able to bake so much and keep everything so fresh. She said she always double wrapped all the cookies and put them in the freezer. Utilizing my freezer has enabled me to start baking all my holiday cookies in August...a necessity to have them all done for cookie trays in December! I have been doing this for over 40 years! So...anyone who has gotten a cookie tray from me can thank my aunt!!
