1 Cup shorting (butter or crisco)
4 Cups flour
3 Tbsp sugar
2 eggs beaten
1 tsp salt
1 pkg yeast
1 Cup lukewarm milk

Directions:
Directions:
Crumble dry ingredients with shortening. Dissolve yeast in milk and add to batter. Mix well. Add beaten eggs. Place in refrigerator 4 or 5 hours or overnight. Roll dough approximately 1/2 inch thick. Cut with approximately 3-inch glass. Let rise 1 hour. Press center down and fill with jelly or pie filling. Bake approximately 20 minutes at 325º. Frost the outside edge with vanilla frosting. This is optional.
