1/2 c butter
2 c sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2/3 c sour cream
1/2 tsp baking soda
3 tsp baking powder
4 c flour

Frosting
1/2 c butter
2 1/2 c powdered icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 Tbsp milk

Directions:

1. In lg bowl with mixer, beat butter and sugar on high until creamy
2. Add eggs, vanilla and sour cream and beat until smooth
3. Add baking soda, powder and flour and beat on low until combined- dough will be soft, almost like cake batter. THIS IS FINE
4 Preheat oven to 350º and line baking sheets with parchment paper. Drop by heaping tablespoons fulls onto baking sheets 2-3 in apart and bake for 10-12 min, until edges are golden brown and centers are set.

Frosting
1 with mixer beat butter until smooth. Add sugar, vanilla and mild and beat until smooth, adding additional sugar or milk to reach desired consistency (you don't want to thin)
2 Color if desired and spread on cookies
