Sift 2 1/2 cups flour
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
Cut in 1 cup lard
Add 1 egg plus milk to make 2/3 cup
Roll out place in large cookie sheet, cover with 1 cup corn flakes, add a layer of sliced apples, sprinkle with 1 cup of sugar and cinnamon.
Cover this with 1/2 cup of ? or ale, 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar, 1 1/2 cups flour, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp soda, 1 3/4 cup oatmeal. Press down firmly and bake 1 hour at 325.
Glaze with 1 cup B sugar and water. Cut while warm.
