2 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
3/4cup vegetable oil
1/4cup molasses
1 cup packed brown sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Lightly spray two baking sheets with oil
In a medium bowl, using a fork stir flour with baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and salt. In a large bowl, beat egg with a fork. Then beat in oil and molasses.
Using a wooden spoon, beat in brown sugar until evenly mixed. Gradually stir in flour mixture until it is well mixed.
Place the white sugar in a small bowl. Pinch off about a tablespoon of dough and roll it into a ball. Then roll it in sugar until evenly coated. Place on baking sheet. Continue with the remaining dough, placing balls two inches apart.
Bake on 2 racks in a preheated oven 350 degrees switching sheets after about 7 minutes check if cookies begin to crack and set around the edges. 7 to 10 minutes. Keep watching! Remove sheets from oven let cool on sheets.
