½ lb. butter (2 sticks, do not substitute).
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 C. chopped nuts (pecans)
24 graham crackers

Directions:
Directions:
Boil butter and brown sugar for two minutes. Remove and let bubbles settle.
Add chopped nuts.
Put 24 (approx.) graham crackers on a cookie sheet. (Break them up before you pour mixture on top). Pour mixture over graham crackers. Bake 10 minutes at 350º. Cool and break apart.

Note: Evelyn brought these to a DAR meeting I attended while in high school, and I have been making them ever since. Every time I make these I am asked for the recipe. For this recipe I do recommend that you buy the brand name crackers because, in my experience, they seem to break apart at the seams a little easier.
