Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 c. + 2 T. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. kosher salt (I use regular salt)
1/2 tsp. baking soda
12 T. (1-1/2 sticks) unsalted butter*
(*gently melt butter and cool to room temperature. If you
use regular butter, cut back a bit on salt & soda).
1 c. packed light brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 large egg
1 large egg yolk
2 tsp. pure vanilla
2 c.semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Adjust oven rack to lower middle position. Pre-heat oven to 325º. Lightly spray a 9"x13" metal baking pan with non-stick spray (I use a cast iron 10 inch skillet). In a medium bowl. whisk together flour, salt and baking powder; set aside. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar and sugar until combined. Add egg, egg yolk and vanilla, and whisk until well combined. With a rubber spatula, fold dry ingredients into wet mixture. When about half-way combined, add chocolate chips and continue to fold until just combined. Do not over mix. Transfer dough to prepared pan (or skillet) (Tip: if dough mixture is sticky, use buttery side of butter wrapper to press into pan, or butter on your fingers) If desired press more chocolate chips over top of dough. Bake about 24 minutes or until golden brown, slightly firm to the touch.
