1½ loaves bread; toasted and torn into pieces
2 c. chopped celery
1½ c. chopped onion
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1½-2 tsp. poultry seasoning
2-3 c. shredded chicken
2 eggs
1½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 stick butter

Directions:
Directions:
Bring celery and onion to a boil; simmer until soft. Use enough water to cover. Add salt. Add butter and mushroom soup to celery and onion.

Combine bread and chicken in a large bowl. Pour mixture over the bread and chicken; stir.

For added moisture and flavor, mix water with 2 heaping teaspoons of chicken flavoring and/or add 4-6 tablespoons of milk. Stir until a moist consistency.

Fill loaf pans ⅔ full; cover with foil. Bake for 1 hour at 350º. Remove foil for last 20 minutes until light brown.

Ever since I was about 3 years old, I would help Grandma make the Thanksgiving dressing by tearing up the bread into little pieces. I cherished these memories made with Grandma and loved contributing to the tradition!
