2 c. flour
4 t. cream of tartar
1 c. salt
2 c. water
2 T. oil

food coloring (cake coloring in a jar works best)
spices or extract
plastic glitter, stars, etc.

Mix all ingredients in a saucepan. Cook on medium/
high heat until it sticks together. Knead after dough
cools until smooth.

Microwave method: Heat water and oil on high for 4 1/
2 minutes. Add dry ingredients slowly (it may fizz). Mix
well. Knead when cool.

Add optional food coloring and spices. For example:
Orange with cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg for
"pumpkin pie"; yellow with lemon extract; pink with
peppermint and opalescent glitter for Christmas time.
