1 cup of butter
1 ½ cups of white sugar
1 pound of dates
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon of salt
2 tablespoons of milk
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
4 cups of rice cereal
1 cup of walnuts, coarsely chopped
1 (14 oz.) package of coconut

Directions:
Directions:
In a large saucepan over low heat, combine butter, sugar, and dates. Cook until sugar is melted, and dates are soft. Then add eggs, salt, milk, vanilla, and rice cereal. Remove from heat, and fold in walnuts.

Let mixture cool, until it can be formed into 2-inch balls.

Place coconut in shallow pan, and roll balls in coconut. Refrigerate until served.
