2 c flour
2 c sugar
1 c oleo (butter)
⅓ c Hershey cocoa, sifted
1 c water
½ c sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp baking soda

FROSTING:
1/2 c butter
4T sifted cocoa
6T milk
1 pound box of powdered sugar
Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour and sugar into large mixing bowl
Combine oleo, cocoa, water and cook until boiling, then pour over the sugar and flour mixture, mix well.
Add sour cream, vanilla, eggs,and soda.Mix well with beater and pour into well greased 13x9 pan.
Bake 400º in preheated over for 20 minutes.

Prepare frosting when you put the cake in the oven.

4T sifted cocoa
6T milk
Mix and bring to boil, removed from stove and add 1 pound box of sifted powdered sugar and beat with electric mixer, pour/spread on hot cake.

I loved this cake so much that my Grandma Jennings once baked one and mailed it to me in flight school. I still have the pan she gave me. I remember calling her when I was baking it for the first time, to ask her what oleo was. I didn't know that was butter!
