Dough:
3 cups flour
2/3 cups softened butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 egg, well beaten
2 1/2 tsps. baking powder
1/3 cup milk

Filling:
1 - 12 oz. package of chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 can sweetened condensed milk

Dough:
Cream shortening and sugar together, add beaten egg. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add flour alternatively with milk and add vanilla extract.

Filling:
Melt chocolate chips over low heat in top of double boiler. Add condensed milk and stir until well blended. Stir in nuts and cool.

Roll out dough and add filling. Then roll into logs. Makes about two to three rolls.

Bake 375º for 20 minutes on ungreased pan.

After slightly cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
